The Selection

Process

We assume if you’ve made it to this page, you are interested in being an owner at Zazil-Há. (We are not accepting visitors yet…sorry.) This is exciting because we are looking for people who are looking for us! We know we’re not the ONLY ones with these ideas and we need people that share our vision to make this a reality. 

In order to protect the mission and legacy of Zazil-Há, we use a two-stage, proprietary selection process. Stage 1 is the application process and it’s necessary for everyone interested in owning land in Zazil-Há. There are 5 steps:

An application with basic information

A Memorandum of Understanding stating your intent to purchase land and affirming that you have read and agree to the Community Agreements, By-Laws, Construction and Agriculture Guidelines, and the Legal Trust

A refundable deposit of $10,000 MXN pesos

An O.C.E.A.N. Personality Assessment

Stage

2

If you are selected for Stage 2 you will receive an invitation to visit us in Merida, Mexico, ranked one of the safest cities in North America, to see the 76 acres that is Zazil-Há. We want you to explore the surrounding areas, experience the culture, meet the teams behind Zazil-Há, meet other potential owners, and have some fun! We will hold these trips bi-monthly and everything will be prepared for you. If you fail to attend Stage 2 within 90 days of receiving an invitation, your deposit will be refunded and your application canceled. (An invitation to Stage 2 does not guarantee an offer for ownership.)

If you are selected for ownership in Zazil-Há after Stage 2 you will receive an invitation to purchase land (a lot size of your choosing). Owners are responsible for building their house (or we can help) according to the Construction Guidelines, abiding by the By-Laws, and committing to the Community Agreements as a way of life. You will have access to the Owner’s Portal where you will find all of the documents and contracts pertaining to your investment. Finally, you will be assigned a personal concierge for communication and information purposes.”
